Today’s Arribada at Corozalito Monitored by the CREMA’s Team
Leaded by Carmen, the person in charge at Corozalito Beach, the CREMA’s team is working the turtles, counting them, to see how many they are. Hundreds of Ridley Turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea) are coming at the same time; this is what we call an ARRIBADA, Spanish term for ARRIVAL. Part of the team is checking for tags, like Daniela, the other members are counting the turtles to see how many we have in total.
