Let´s support artisanal fishermen

Four years ago we started this fight in favor of sustainable fishing and artisanal fishers, who are affected by destructive practices such as trawling. The Constitutional Court (Sala IV) banned this activity in 2013 for violating democratic sustainable development. Unfortunately, Presbyter Meneses, President of INCOPESCA, has demonstrated his ignorance on fishing issues, and encouraged by Presidential House promotes a project for trawlers to continue their destructive activity. After all, why would a Presbyter listen to science? He is only favoring private interests over the public interest.
