Kids from the School Futuro Verde, collected funds for CREMA

Initiative was part of their #Earthdaychallenge

We are very grateful with Alais, Angelica, Nelson, Anthony, Santiago, Mia and Fiorella. For a month, these students from Futuro Verde in Cóbano raised funds from CREMA through social media for their #Earthdaychallenge

The funds will be directed to our hawksbill conservation project to buy acoustic tags for the turtles. This endangered species inhabits the rocky reefs near the communities where the students live, which makes their contribution very significant.

Fact: There’s an estimate of only 25 000 hawksbills left in the world, with the Eastern Tropical Pacific being one of the most threatened populations.
